“Game Changer: Australia’s Ministry of Defense Tests Advanced Laser Weapon to Neutralize Drones”

The Ministry of Defense of Australia recently announced the successful testing of the country’s first advanced energy-based weapon. This weapon is specifically designed to target unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The defense industry representatives have stated that this new laser technology will have the capability to “burn through” and disable fast-moving objects. Currently, the laser is being utilized in a 10-cent station, as reported by naked-science.

Recent military conflicts have highlighted the significant threat posed by unmanned aerial vehicles to both the lives of soldiers and the technology itself. These vehicles are relatively small, lacking durability, and can easily be eliminated or destroyed while in the battlefield.

In response to this threat, many countries have initiated the development of effective systems to combat unmanned aerial vehicles. One particular approach focuses on the use of special lasers, commonly known as “military lasers” or Directed-energy weapons (DEWs).
