Farewell to a Legend: Holy Saviour Cathedral Pays Tribute to Renowned Actress Lala Mnatsakanyan

The Holy Saviour Cathedral recently held a funeral service to pay tribute to the late actress Lala Mnatsakanyan, who was an Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia. The ceremony was attended by Mnatsakanyan’s family, friends, members of the arts and culture community, and her fans. During the final farewell, the song “Kgam” by Hamo Sahyan, which was performed by Mnatsakanyan herself, played in the background. The actress passed away on June 22nd at the age of 66.

Throughout her career, Lala Mnatsakanyan portrayed numerous leading roles on stage and in films. She was also a prolific writer, having created over 140 monologues. Some of her notable film appearances include “The Mouse-Pal” (1984), “The Teacher” (1992), “The Year in Our Broken Family” (2015), “Water” (2015), and “Manyu.”
