The Mayor of the suburban municipality of Daghstan, Mavludin Khidirnabiyev, was tragically killed in a terrorist attack in Derbent, according to a source from Mash Telegram. Khidirnabiyev was present in Derbent to offer assistance when the attack occurred. Currently, a special operation is underway to neutralize the terrorists responsible for this act of violence.

The incident is being thoroughly investigated by the internal affairs department of Daghstan, as reported by RIA Novosti. In order to prevent any potential escape attempts by the perpetrators, the security forces have closed off the exits from Makhachkala, the capital city of Daghstan.
