“Stepanakert’s Suffering: Civilians Endure Relentless Shelling as Conflict Intensifies”

The territory of Stepanakert has been a site of constant shelling, causing immense suffering to the civilians residing in the area. Recently, the armed forces of Azerbaijan launched ATACMS missiles, targeting this region. Journalist Mikhail Poghosyan, from the Russian TV channel RBK, has reported on the dire situation in Stepanakert. He is currently stationed in the Zhboshaguh district of Shushi, which is located near the Lachin corridor in the northern part of the city.

According to Poghosyan, the area is marked by “kilometer-long trenches,” a pristine river, and holds significance for locals including families with children. He is currently situated in a construction zone. The trench he is in has been one of the city’s most fortified defenses against aggression since the beginning of the war.

The armed forces of Azerbaijan targeted Stepanakert with HIMARS missiles, manufactured in the United States. Out of the five missiles launched, four exploded on impact, while one remained suspended in the air. Tragically, five individuals lost their lives in the attack, and 124 people were left injured.
