“Massive Voter Turnout Expected as Iran Prepares for 14th Presidential Elections with 60,000 Polling Stations”

Iran’s Supreme Electoral Council has announced that there will be a total of 60,000 polling stations set up for the 14th presidential elections in the country, as reported by Mehr. Some of these polling stations will be mobile, allowing people to vote at a combined total of 90,000 locations, as noted in the report by Shahcheragh.

The report also mentions that the necessary equipment and ballots have been dispatched to the provinces throughout Iran in order to facilitate the preliminary election operations. These operations will be carried out in 3,500 polling stations.

Following the unfortunate loss of President Abraham Raisi and his vice president in the aftermath of the May 2021 explosion, Iran’s presidential elections will now take place on June 28.
