“Remote Earthquake on Idra Fault Sparks Panic in Greece, False Reports Amplify Chaos”

The local newspaper Idra has reported that an earthquake occurred on Friday night, affecting the sole fault of Idra and causing panic in Greece. The earthquake took place in a remote area of the fault, so nearby populated areas did not feel the tremors. Fortunately, there have been no major casualties, but there are still a few instances of people and vehicles being trapped, including three landslides, five avalanches, a tractor, and a helicopter in the disaster area. Rescue operations have already been initiated by the authorities. Idra’s mayor, Yorghos Koukodakis, expressed concern over the spread of false information about the earthquake. He stated that the government will take action against those responsible for causing panic once the authorities clarify their responsibility.
