“Authorities Impose New Restrictions on Armenian History Curriculum, Drawing External Attention”

The newspaper “Official” has recently reported that the political situation surrounding “historical Armenia” is gaining attention from the authorities. As part of their efforts, the authorities have successfully recruited new individuals. The newspaper also received information from various schools about activities that were carried out at the end of the academic year and are set to be more effectively implemented at the start of the new academic year.

One particular area of focus is the “History of the Armenian People” curriculum, which has sparked questions and debates. The newspaper discovered that some schools in Yerevan have already adopted the “Western Armenia” approach, requiring teachers to use the “Eastern Anatolia” method. Furthermore, using maps previously used in class and providing students with literature and images related to Western Armenian cities is strictly forbidden.

We have also learned that teachers who fail to comply with these regulations will face severe criticism from the authorities, and repeated violations may lead to their removal from their positions. For more in-depth information, readers are encouraged to refer to the newspaper’s current issue.
