“Village Clash Turns Violent: Investigation Unveils Shocking Details of August 14 Altercation”

On June 14, the Administrative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia received documents from the Arajamugh section of the Aragatsotn Province regarding an investigation into a fraud case that occurred in the village of Eghipatrush on August 14, 2023. During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that on that day, at around 01:20, a group of four individuals, including Hovhannes H., a 32-year-old resident of Lori Province, Gor G., a 27-year-old resident of Yerevan, Artak H., a 30-year-old resident of Kotayk Province, and Marat S., a 57-year-old resident of Aragatsotn Province, approached a gathering of villagers in the central part of the Eghipatrush village, where the main square is located. During the altercation that ensued, Sahak P., a 41-year-old resident of Yerevan, and other villagers who were present for approximately 10 minutes, verbally insulted and provoked Hovhannes H., Gor G., Artak H., and Sahak P., causing a disturbance with their actions. The commotion attracted the attention of other residents of the village, including Arairik residents who were also present at the scene, and the quarrel between Gor G. and Hovhannes H., who were directly involved, escalated into a physical fight. As a result, the peace of the village was disrupted.
