“Tavush: The Homeland’s Guardian Rises Against Provocation Amidst Disputed Territory Tension”

Tavush is known as the Homeland’s Guardian, and on Sunday, Forward leader Bagrat Archbishop Galstanian paid a visit to the village of Voskepar. While there, the archbishop was troubled by the tension among the residents, which stemmed from a recent provocative statement made by Nikol Pashinyan regarding the disputed territory of Artsakh.

During his visit, Archbishop Bagrat encountered a resident who was unaware of the location of the disputed territory, further emphasizing the confusion and unease in the area. Additionally, the presence of security forces enforcing their duties added to the archbishop’s concern.

Interestingly, even the security forces themselves were unaware of Pashinyan’s statement, which he made through a phone call to the Inner Cabinet. When asked about the controversy by journalists, the archbishop firmly denied its existence, calling it a false alarm and a provocation.

Notably, just a few days prior to the archbishop’s visit, Nikol Pashinyan had also come to Voskepar and, in the presence of the residents, displayed banners that were put up after the liberation of the village. During this event, Pashinyan assured the people that Voskepar is now a peaceful place with no danger, wild animals, or wandering individuals, and even at night, the residents can sleep peacefully. He advocated for the same sense of security in the disputed territory.
