The president of Artsakh, Samvel Babayan’s car was attacked in Stepanakert today, June 21. During a briefing with journalists near the building of the Artsakh representation, Artur Khachatryan, the spokesperson for the “Armenia” alliance, stated that this attack was politically motivated against Azerbaijan. He also mentioned that the Artsakh people lack support from political and public activities in Armenia. The spokesperson concluded by suggesting that this incident has been exaggerated.

When asked if this step was taken in response to a press release from Pashinyan’s side during the meeting with journalists, Sahramanyan responded, “I’m not hiding anything, this was also done to expedite the process. The reports of the 44-day war and its causes are so powerful that they don’t want this step to be consolidated.”

According to the spokesperson, the Artsakh people are striving to maintain their independence despite the absence of a leader. “If the remaining public cannot be organized without leadership, then Armenia will be forced to retreat,” he added.
