The Ministry of Nature Protection and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia have jointly presented a proposal to state institutions regarding the restoration of the ecological system of Lake Sevan. The proposal includes several recommendations aimed at improving the condition of the lake and preserving its ecosystem. Among the suggestions are restrictions on the outflow of water from the lake, construction of water reservoirs to regulate outflow, experiments to improve water quality, measures to prevent the inflow of pollutants, and efforts to protect the underwater flora and fauna. Additionally, the proposal calls for research studies on the lake’s environment, investigation into the impact of foreign species, and the establishment of a special team for comprehensive development. The proposal is currently under review by relevant agencies.
