The President of the RA NA Speaker, Head of the Armenia-China Friendship Group, Hakob Arshakyan, recently had a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, Chen Choy, according to a report by the NA. Arshakyan emphasized the special role and importance of China in the context of its external multi-vector policy and expressed readiness to continue cooperation with the CSTO. He also highlighted the CSTO’s focus on the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and expressed willingness to collaborate with China for the restoration of stability and security. Arshakyan further praised China’s active involvement in crucial ongoing projects of the EAEU, including the North-South highway and the construction of the Almaty water canal. The discussion also encompassed Chinese companies’ active participation in significant projects within Armenia, such as the establishment of industrial zones in Syunik and the construction of a water purification plant in Kaps.
