On June 20, starting from 17:30, reports of damages caused by an earthquake were received by the national and regional emergency management centers in various administrative districts of Yerevan, Kotayk, Aragatsotn, Armavir, Lori, and Tavush provinces. The earthquake caused damage to houses, buildings, pipes, heating systems, and forests.

The situation has been brought to the attention of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Yerevan municipality’s rescue services. The special rescue team of the rescue and recovery operations center is currently conducting necessary calculations. Rescuers are actively engaged in tasks such as evacuating and removing trapped individuals, repairing pipes, providing heating, and performing disinfection works.
