“Mother Armenia Group Takes Action Against Corruption: Two Members Removed from Positions in Avan District”

The “Zhoghovurd” newspaper has reported that on July 4, the Mother Armenia group of Yerevan’s Avan district will be conducting their inaugural session as part of the “Decision-Making of Yerevan’s Avan District” initiative. The main focus of this session will be to determine the best course of action to remove certain members from their positions due to allegations of corruption. During a previous session held on February 7, the representative of the Mother Armenia group for Avan made the decision to remove two members, Narine Hayrapetyan and Sonia Aghakyan, from their positions based on these corruption allegations. The decision to remove them was primarily based on their lack of involvement in the group’s projects despite being part of the group. Although their contributions were valued, they were expelled from the session with regret.

According to previous reports in the “Zhoghovurd” newspaper, the Mother Armenia group had already requested the Administrative Court to remove Sonia Aghakyan from her position, and they also raised legal issues surrounding Narine Hayrapetyan. However, the final decision regarding Hayrapetyan was postponed since she was not present in the country at that time.

In addition to these updates, the “Zhoghovurd” newspaper has informed its readers that the first session on July 4 will be presided over by Judge Grigor Arkelyan. This session will provide readers with a more in-depth understanding of the content featured in the magazine.
