“Marti 1” is a holiday that is celebrated with various events to commemorate its significance over the years. During these events, people have the opportunity to express their thoughts and opinions. Recently, on June 19, His Holiness Bagrat spoke at an event in Mamullis and addressed a question about why evaluations were not conducted on March 1, particularly in comparison to the events of June 12.

His Holiness Bagrat explained that the comparison to “Marti 1” was unjustified because of the actions of a deceived individual.

He questioned, “What was that person saying on ‘Marti 1’? They were deceiving the people, inciting citizens and commanding the police to attack protesters, confiscate weapons, and defend themselves. I compare those actions to what happened recently.”

His Holiness Bagrat clarified that he is not the one responsible for conducting a political evaluation of “Marti 1.” There is an independent court that possesses all the necessary evidence and documents. He called for the court to reveal the truth to the public.

He concluded by stating that March 1 is considered one of the darkest moments in Armenian history.
