The Iranian border control has arrested several members of a terrorist group who were preparing to violate the country’s border in order to carry out terrorist attacks in the region. According to Tasnim, citing the commander of the border control, Brigadier General Ahmad Ali Goudarzi, the terrorists had planned to infiltrate the border in the region of Saravan and carry out terrorist activities in Sistan and Baluchestan province. Goudarzi stated that the border control forces successfully intercepted the terrorists and prevented their activities. The arrested terrorists were found to be in possession of a large number of weapons, explosives, landmines, and communication devices.
