“Increasing Tensions: Azerbaijan Criticizes France’s Role in Karabakh Conflict”

“We do not consider the political situation in France to be stable; it is a volatile political situation,” says Hikmet Hajiyev, the assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and the head of the foreign policy department of the presidential administration, as reported by APA. Hajiyev expressed concern over the tension between France and Armenia regarding the situation in Karabakh and the ongoing war. He believes that this tension affects the process of regulation between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as France’s military intervention policy could potentially increase Armenia’s power in Azerbaijan. The export of Armenian weapons is also deeply concerning. Hajiyev emphasizes that as a member of the OSCE Minsk Group, France should maintain impartiality in the political situation and that occupying Nagorno-Karabakh and conducting aggression against Azerbaijan is unacceptable in any form.”
