At the opening ceremony of Mamuli Assulis on June 19th, Bagrat Serbazan made a statement in response to an appeal by the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin. He expressed his willingness to support the movement, while clarifying that the church, as an institution, cannot be actively involved. Serbazan had previously withdrawn his services on May 26th, but faced resistance from some members of the clergy. He emphasized that the Mother See will ultimately decide its involvement, but the church itself is not engaged in any political activities. Serbazan also mentioned that the Prime Minister’s involvement would be conditional upon the wishes of the people and the blessing of Vehapar.
