The territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia must be affirmed by the public. Prime Minister Pashinyan and his competent staff have the responsibility to explain this to the people. In an interview with NEWS.am, Artur Khachatryan, the spokesman for the ARF “Hayastan” faction, questioned why Pashinyan decided to involve the public in this matter. He suggested that Pashinyan may be preparing to make a deliberate move and pass this decision-making process to the people. Khachatryan acknowledged Pashinyan’s political abilities and suggested that he may try to unite the people in order to improve Armenia.

Khachatryan was unsure whether the next phase of discussions would include unrecognized territories, as it depended on Azerbaijan’s stance. He mentioned that if Azerbaijan suggests going back to unrecognized territories, Armenia will present a program. Alternatively, if Azerbaijan refuses, Pashinyan may prolong this phase, using the promise of returning something as a means of inspiring the people. Khachatryan emphasized that Pashinyan’s ultimate goal is to achieve overall success, even if it means facing increasing cordiality towards Azerbaijan and potential conflicts, such as in Sisian.
