“NATO Worries About Russia’s Military Support to North Korea, Urges Enhanced Cooperation in Middle East”

NATO expressed concerns about Russia’s ability to offer military and technical support to North Korea, as reported by Reuters. Jens Stoltenberg, NATO’s secretary general, made this announcement on Tuesday following a meeting with US Defense Secretary Anthony Blinken. Stoltenberg revealed that during discussions with his Russian counterpart in Moscow, it was revealed that China, North Korea, and Iran are all supporting Russia’s military efforts against Ukraine and are interested in the situation in the region. He further stated that NATO’s general assembly, scheduled for next month, will commence enhanced cooperation between Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, and Japan in the Middle East. Stoltenberg emphasized the need to address the issue of economic ties with European countries amidst the ongoing war in Europe, which he described as the largest since World War II. While it is too early to determine the consequences, he stressed the need for a sustainable solution that differs from current approaches.
