“Government Accountability: Should Legal Consequences Follow Ineffective Program Implementation, or Leave It to the People’s Judgment?”

Every government in the world operates with varying degrees of efficiency, which begs the question of whether the government should be legally held accountable for not implementing its programs or wait for the judgment of the people. Hovik Aghazaryan, a representative of the ruling My Step Alliance, shared his thoughts on this issue in an interview with NEWS.am. He expressed that they have been affected by their fellow citizens living in Artsakh and emphasized that their strength, will, and opportunities have not diminished. Aghazaryan mentioned that these matters will be addressed through regular or extraordinary elections, during which they may be removed from power. He further stated that they will then focus on resolving the Karabakh issue.

Aghazaryan also mentioned that they are preparing for the upcoming regular elections. He emphasized the importance of being prepared as a political force when the time comes for elections because if the people express a different assessment and bring new strength to the government, they need clarity on where the government and power are heading. He assured that they will not shy away from their responsibilities during the elections.
