Economy Minister Gegorg Papoyan arrived in Armenia on June 18 to participate in the working meeting of the Eurasian Economic Union in Yerevan.

A series of discussions were held to increase trade cooperation and raise the volume of trade turnover between the two countries.

“We are moving towards diversifying the economy by developing different cooperation with different countries and, if possible, preserving cooperation with traditional partners,” said Gegorg Papoyan.

During the meeting, a number of agreements were reached on various issues, including agriculture, tourism, trade, healthcare, medicine, energy, and other fields.

The Minister also presented the importance of the “Bridge of Goodness for Prosperity” project of the Government of the Republic of Armenia in the context of promoting prosperity and opportunities for trade turnover between the countries of the region.
