“Devastating Forest Fires Ravage El Salvador, Leaving 14 Dead and Thousands Displaced”

In El Salvador, 14 people have fallen victim to forest fires, according to a report by a local newspaper. The country’s National Civil Protection Agency conducted a coordinated operation, forming a national emergency response committee. As a result of these devastating fires, 11 major and 3 minor damages have occurred throughout the nation. In order to ensure the safety of individuals, evacuation measures have been implemented, resulting in the rescue of 882 people. The country has set up 117 shelters, capable of housing over 6,000 individuals. Recent meteorological data reveals that since June 13, a total of 42 fire incidents have been reported in El Salvador, with 27 houses impacted. Lus Amayan, the head of the national emergency response committee, has disclosed that in the first few days, the fire can spread up to 750 meters, which is a 25% increase from the annual average. Forest fires continue to ravage multiple regions of the country, with some fires burning for over 16 hours.
