“Authorities’ Failure: Unified Ticketing System Delayed, Public Dissatisfaction Grows”

The newspaper “Zhoghovurd” reported on the announcement made by the RA authorities regarding the schedule for the phased relaxation of quarantine measures. During a press conference at the Yerevan municipality, it was revealed that a unified ticketing system for public transportation would be launched to facilitate transport use. Originally planned to be implemented on September 1st, the introduction of the system has been postponed until new buses arrive and are put into service. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the new buses are expected to be introduced by the end of October or the beginning of November.

This delay in implementing the phased easing of restrictions can be attributed to incorrect calculations and the failure of the authorities to execute the project efficiently. The public has expressed dissatisfaction with the increased number of accidents and this implementation setback. According to “Zhoghovurd” newspaper, when questioned about the delay, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan responded hastily. It was noted that Pashinyan has not taken any effective measures or provided alternative solutions to address the transportation issue, apart from engaging in verbal arguments with citizens.
