“Armenian Women’s Art Exhibition: Promoting Cultural Identity and Urban Modernism in Yerevan”

On June 16, an Armenian cultural event took place in the center of Yerevan, featuring the participation of the Armenian community. The event was honored by the presence of Mayor Elo Ren Atarian of Glendale, USA. According to NEWS.am, “Armenian women’s unity” showcased their artistic works related to the theme of communication through statues and sculptures. Among the displayed pieces were “The Girl with an Umbrella” by Aychemnik Urruty, “Rebirth” by Rozan Kurkchyan, “She Loves, She Doesn’t Love” by Tereza Mirzoyan, and several other statues.

In addition to the art exhibition, Armenian actors, actresses, authors, and recipients of the sculptures delivered a brief performance during the event. Their aim was to emphasize the artistic value, energy, and societal impact of Armenian women, particularly within their families. At the conclusion of the event, Mayor Elo Ren Atarian of Glendale received a signed memorandum from the Armenian community, expressing gratitude for his participation and recognition of their artistic contributions to the city’s cultural landscape.

The Armenian Women’s Unity organization is actively engaged in various national and cultural projects, with the primary intention of showcasing the Armenian identity in diverse forms. Their presentation and exhibition of artworks within the city’s cultural region hold great significance, as they have the potential to positively influence urban tourism promotion and establish an image of modernity.
