“Vandalism Strikes Ararat Region: School Windows Smashed and Playground Damaged, Principal Raises Alarm”

An incident occurred on June 15th in the Ararat region of Armenia. The Interior Ministry received a report from the Department of Internal Affairs in the town of Vagharshapat, stating that Anush Hambardzumyan, a 41-year-old resident of the region, had called to report that all the windows of the school were broken. The authorities later revealed that earlier that day, suspects had entered the school playground and vandalized the fences, causing significant damage. The estimated cost of the damage amounted to approximately 800,000 to 900,000 Armenian drams. Anush Hambardzumyan, as the principal of Gevorgyan middle school, was present during the incident, along with the affected students who also attended the same school.
