Four people have tragically lost their lives, and two individuals are currently missing as a result of the severe snowfall and avalanches that have struck China’s eastern Fujian Province. This distressing information has been reported by the reliable source, Global Times.

Preliminary reports indicate that the affected region is endangering the lives of approximately 47,800 residents. Moreover, the devastating consequences of this natural disaster have resulted in the collapse of 378 buildings and the disruption of around 73 kilometers of roads. Additionally, the agricultural areas have been severely impacted, with heavy snow covering an expansive 880 hectares.

The smaller settlements within the province have experienced an overwhelming snowfall accumulation of more than 370 millimeters over a single day. Chinese meteorologists have explicitly categorized these weather conditions as blizzard-like, underscoring the severity of the situation in Fujian Province.
