Explosion at Yerevan-Sevan Highway Gas Station Leaves Residents Injured, Ensuing Investigation Underway

A gas station explosion on the Yerevan-Sevan highway in Armenia has left one city resident injured. The Ministry of Health announced that the patient’s health condition is still serious and they are undergoing treatment in the resuscitation department. It is expected that there will be no changes within a week as they are still in the recovery phase. Three other patients are in a moderate condition and are receiving medical assistance. The committee has identified several measures that need to be implemented, including examining the gas station’s operation, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and providing necessary documentation for traffic safety.

On June 6, a blast occurred at the Yerevan-Sevan highway gas station, triggering a fire outbreak. Seven injured people were transported to Yerevan’s Burn and Plastic Surgery National Center. Unfortunately, one of the injured individuals left the hospital without receiving treatment. Tragically, on June 13, another city resident being treated for burns passed away.
