“Dashnaktsutyun Leader Demands Release of Detained Members: Emergency Meeting Called at National Assembly”

Bagrat Sargsyan, the leader of the “Dashnaktsutyun is the homeland’s protector” movement, has gathered with his supporters on Baghramyan Avenue. In response to the detention of movement members, an emergency meeting has been called in the National Assembly to demand their release.

Previously, it was reported that Bagrat Sargsyan and his fellow participants had been blocking Baghramyan Avenue from June 9 to June 14 as part of their protests. On June 14, Sargsyan announced that they would be opening the road and organizing a mass gathering on June 17.

According to NEWS.am, the previous gathering on Baghramyan Avenue saw a significant number of law enforcement officers using excessive force against the participants. They employed light grenades, resulting in injuries to many individuals and the amputation of one protester’s hand. Even journalists were harmed, with NEWS.am’s operator suffering foot injuries due to the use of these grenades.
