“Armenian Leader Calls for General Rally in Tavush: A Show of Strength and Unity to Achieve Political Change”

Tavush, the homeland of Armenian leader Bagrat Sargsyan, is the focal point of the “Stand for Tavush” movement. Sargsyan took to Facebook to remind the public that a general rally is scheduled for June 17 at 18:30 in Baghramyan Square.

During this rally, Sargsyan emphasized the importance of their meeting with the President of the Republic of Armenia. He expressed the need to separate their actions from those of foreigners who may try to exploit the situation. This rally will serve as a test to determine if these individuals truly empathize with their cause. Additionally, Sargsyan stated that this event is another step towards achieving their goals and solidifying the existence and purpose of the movement.

Sargsyan assuaged any concerns of a connection between this meeting and the events of June 12. He asserted that the rally on Wednesday is crucial for demonstrating to the world that their struggle is peaceful and beyond violence, provocation, conflicts, and destructive actions. According to Sargsyan, this movement must persist until it reaches its political resolution.

Sargsyan also emphasized the importance of compromise and justice in their movement. He stated that the resignation of the head of administration is just one step in a larger process of structural and comprehensive changes that they seek to achieve.
