“Resilience and Relief: Karakop Rebuilding as Government Assists Earthquake Affected Village”

The earthquake that hit the Karakop region last night was reported by the Lori Regional Administration. Governor Aram Ghazaryan and Mayor Artur Yeritsyan visited the affected Karakop village on June 14th, where they met with injured residents and provided information about ongoing government assistance programs. The residents expressed concerns about housing reconstruction, resettlement, and other issues. The governor emphasized the importance of addressing the earthquake’s consequences effectively and stated that the RA government is closely monitoring the situation in Karakop and will soon launch concrete programs to assist the affected areas.

The head of the region also announced that the Karakop water pipeline has been restored. However, the cleaning of water pipes will be conducted after the ongoing restoration work is completed.

The residents of Karakop expressed their gratitude for the prompt response in restoring normalcy and providing extensive assistance after the earthquake.
