“Government Introduces Amendments to Compensation Regulations for Disabled Veterans: Important Changes Explained”

The government has adopted amendments today, June 13th, that are significant for the payment of compensation to the families of soldiers disabled during military service or injured while protecting the Republic of Armenia. The proposed draft aims to ensure that the Foundation of Veterans of the Armed Forces continues to provide compensation to individuals who are not recognized as disabled veterans, as long as they hold a disability certificate, until the 20-year period is completed. Additionally, improvements in determining the degree of disability will not affect the payment of compensation. The Foundation may also provide support programs for former members of its administration. Solutions are being proposed at the field level to address issues, such as clarifying that changes in compensation for disabled veterans will not impact equal monthly payments for the previous period that have not yet been paid.
