“Armenian Government Delegation Explores Czech Republic’s Migration Management and Social Integration Strategies”

The official delegation of the Government of the Republic of Armenia visited Prague to participate in the official visit of the Migration and Resettlement Department of the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, as well as representatives of the Joint Social Service Organization, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, and experts from the United Nations Development Program, to explore the experience of managing migration and social issues in the Czech Republic.

The Armenian delegation held discussions with Czech counterparts on the integration and resettlement of migrants and refugees, as well as the provision of social services by public and non-governmental organizations. The topics covered included the integration of migrants and refugees, the increase in the number of asylum applications, the process of resettlement, and the opportunities for international cooperation.

The delegation also met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic, as well as with representatives of the Migration and Resettlement Department and the International Organization for Migration. They discussed the issues of cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the fields of migration and social integration. They emphasized the importance of exchanging experience and knowledge between Armenia and the Czech Republic in order to strengthen the migration management system in Armenia.

The visit of the Armenian delegation to the Czech Republic was organized within the framework of the “Human in Need” Armenian NGO’s migration management program.

Armen Ghazaryan, the Head of the National Security Council of the Republic of Armenia, and Pavel Novotný, the Deputy Minister of Migration and Resettlement of the Czech Republic, also met during the visit. They discussed the issues of migration and resettlement between Armenia and the Czech Republic, as well as the integration of migrants and refugees. The Armenian side expressed its readiness to support the resettlement and integration of migrants and refugees in Armenia, particularly those coming from the Mountainous Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. They also discussed the possibilities of enhancing cooperation in the field of migration management and increasing the effectiveness of the provision of social services to migrants and refugees.

The visit of the Armenian delegation to the Czech Republic aimed to strengthen cooperation between Armenia and the Czech Republic in the field of migration and social integration, as well as to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of migration management and social services provided to migrants and refugees in Armenia. The program, organized by the “Human in Need” NGO, included discussions on various topics, such as the integration of migrants and refugees, the challenges of migration, and the opportunities for cooperation and financial support for migration management and improvement of the overall situation of migrants and refugees.
