On June 13th, an earthquake struck the province of Kotayk in Armenia. The Department of Civil Defense of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received an alert from the “Culture” NGO in Charentsavan, reporting that people were trapped in the city’s urban development area due to the earthquake.

According to the Shamshyan news agency, several individuals aged 60-65 were found in critical condition, with injuries resulting from building collapses caused by the earthquake.

Initial assessments from forensic doctors indicate that the injuries were not caused by falling debris from external sources. However, evidence of homicide (possibly self-inflicted) with political motives has been discovered at the forensic department in Charentsavan.

Rescue teams and forensic experts are currently conducting operations and investigations to determine the cause of death and locate the residences of the deceased.
