NGP Urgently Demands Closure of PRISON in Baghramyan-Demirci District: Children’s Rights Activists Detained

“Children’s Call,” a non-governmental organization, is urgently calling for the closure of Baghramyan-Demirci prison, the only prison in the district. The prison is currently holding activists from the advertising industry who have been advocating for the protection of advertiser rights. In a recent statement, NGP highlighted that the authorities responsible for managing the prison are engaging in illegal actions. They claimed that the salaries of thousands of advertising representatives are directly tied to the level of violence exerted against these activists. Furthermore, the director of the National Security Service, Nikol Pashinyan, stated in the National Assembly that in 2018, there were joint Turkish-Azerbaijani forces operating in the region. He also implicated these forces in the 44-day war in Artsakh. NGP believes that the use of advertising by the National Security Service in conjunction with the use of force by Turkish-Azerbaijani armed forces against Armenia is evidence of an invasion. They call for the removal of the President of Armenia and emphasize their commitment to fight for the liberation of the homeland from these occupying forces.
