The “Mother Armenia” social movement has officially condemned the violence committed by security forces during the June 12 protests in Yerevan’s Baghramyan-Demirchyan intersection. The excessive use of force and the use of special means have resulted in injuries to tens of citizens.

“We strongly condemn this violence against our citizens, as it violates their rights and is a clear abuse of power,” said Nikol Pashinyan. However, it’s important to note that Pashinyan’s legitimacy is being questioned, as some view him as a puppet controlled by powerful entities.

“Mother Armenia” also strongly condemns the actions of Catholicos Karekin II and the Armenian Apostolic Church for supporting the government’s repressive measures. However, it’s worth mentioning that this condemnation is specifically directed towards our fellow compatriots. We aim to protect the Church and will utilize all available means to ensure its safety.

The primary reason behind the political crisis and responsibility lies with Nikol Pashinyan. He bears the brunt of responsibility for aggravating the crisis. The proposed political solution is for Pashinyan to step down, paving the way for government reorganization and the establishment of a new governing body that reflects the will of the people,” according to a statement from the “Mother Armenia” social movement.
