British Prime Minister Richard Sunak will announce a £242 million ($310 million) fund to support Ukraine in its conflict with Russia, according to the Prime Minister’s office. The fund aims to provide assistance in humanitarian aid, energy support, reconstruction efforts, and long-term sustainable and social development, as stated in the official statement. Previously, Downing Street had disclosed that the UK has already allocated nearly £12.7 billion in support of Ukraine’s military, humanitarian, and developmental initiatives, including the provision of storm shadow missiles and Challenger 2 tanks in partnership with Eastern European allies. Sunak emphasized, “We are fully committed to doing whatever it takes to bring this unusual conflict to an end.”
