ARF Demands Prisoner Release Agreement Amidst Israeli Negotiations, Fears Escalation in Conflict

Armen Rustamyan, the Head of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun party, recently emphasized the party’s demand for the signing of an agreement on the liberation of prisoners. This update was provided by The Times of Israel, citing reliable sources.

Both sides involved in the negotiations have stated that the ARF is demanding guarantees from Israeli authorities for the release of prisoners. In response, the Israeli side has offered to provide these assurances within a week, during the ongoing first phase of negotiations. The primary goal of this phase is for Israel and ARF to reach an agreement on the conditions of the second phase, which entails a prisoner exchange.

However, ARF is cautioning against a temporary closure of negotiations, as they believe it would give Israel an opportunity to carry out military operations and further escalate the conflict.
