“Government Working Group Monitors Progress of Renovation Project in Shirak Province”

A working group has been created in Shirak province to monitor the implementation of government programs. Led by the governor’s assistant, Anna Martikyan, the group visits communities to observe the progress of construction works. Most recently, they visited the Akhurian community to see the renovation progress of a former school building, which will serve as a kindergarten.

The cost of this program, implemented in 2022, is AMD 102,118,000, with 70% of the funding coming from the government. The first phase of construction involves creating a technical area and a medical room. The second phase will include administrative offices, a post office, a meeting room, and another medical room.

In Bayandur, a meeting was held with government and community representatives. During the meeting, it was decided that the construction of the kindergarten building will be completed soon, with 80% of the funding provided by the Government of Armenia and 20% by the community.

The kindergarten is designed to accommodate 50 children and will have two groups with all the necessary facilities and equipment. The total cost of the project, implemented in two phases, is AMD 273,801,000, with the second phase agreement amounting to AMD 116,660,000.

The working group has urged the contractor to expedite the construction works to ensure timely completion.
