“Biden and Zelensky to Sign Game-Changing Security Agreement at NATO Summit, Uniting Against Russian Aggression”

US President Joe Biden and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky are set to sign a bilateral security agreement at the NATO summit on Thursday. The agreement, as per French sources cited by journalist Jake Sullivan, will be focused on supporting Ukraine in its struggle against Russian aggression. Sullivan, who recently met with Biden in Italy, stated that after the meeting, the leaders will chair a meeting of the Council of Cooperation where the robust support for Ukraine and its annexation by Russia will be discussed.

The agreement does not entail any obligations regarding the use of US military forces. Instead, it aims to provide weapons and assistance to Ukraine, a cause that Washington has been supporting since the start of the war in 2014, according to Sullivan. He further noted that this agreement is similar to others signed between Ukraine and 15 other partner countries.
