Armenia’s Republic of Artsakh is presenting territorial demands to Azerbaijan, with open support from Turkey towards the “Western Azerbaijan” separatist movement, according to a statement by the analytical foundation “Geghard”. Turkey’s support for Azerbaijan, which has invaded Artsakh, includes assisting the Aliyev regime in constructing and distributing Armenian and indigenous territories. President Mahmut Ozar of Turkey has ordered prominent members of the “Western Azerbaijan” organization to publish the territorial demands in three languages as part of a historical book series. This act is deemed as spreading historical distortions and a propaganda of an international agenda in the region.

The discussions further revealed that Turkey’s National Grand Assembly is determined to actively promote the “Western Azerbaijan” case and support its members in returning the “displaced Azerbaijanis” from Armenia and determining their rights to self-determination. The statement also emphasizes that while the concept of “Western Azerbaijan” was previously limited to Azerbaijani national structures, Turkey is now actively supporting the dissemination of this ideology, which constitutes a clear violation of international law.
