“Residents of Kyrants at Risk: Unsafe Road Through Azerbaijani Military Base Raises Concerns”

The village of Kyrants in Tavush region is facing safety concerns due to a road that passes through an Azerbaijani military base. Arman Tatoyan, a former deputy of the National Assembly of Armenia, has raised alarm about this issue and emphasized the need to inform the international community about the violation of security and fundamental rights of Armenian residents caused by the presence of the Azerbaijani military on our country’s territory.

According to the state border of Armenia, the civilian population residing in Kyrants, also known as the “border village,” is constantly exposed to danger, compromising their safety and rights. The ancient 7th-century church of Surb Mariam Astvatsatsin in Voskepar, which dates back to the Middle Ages, is located within the state border, close to the Azerbaijani military base.

Furthermore, the villages of Azatamut, Kayan, Aygehovit, Vazashen, Voskepar, and others are also facing safety concerns and are at risk of being encircled. These villages are home to residential areas of Armenian inhabitants, which poses a threat to national security. The NEWS.am report on Telegram highlights these issues.

Overall, the safety and rights of Armenian residents are being compromised due to the presence of the Azerbaijani military, and it is crucial to raise awareness and address these concerns at an international level.
