“Residents of Karabakh to Transfer Activities to Armenian Financial Institutions: Minister of Justice Announces Opportunity for Displaced Workers”

Residents of the mountainous region of Karabakh who have active personal accounts will now have the option to transfer their activities to the financial institutions of Armenia. This announcement was made by Armenuhi Harutyunyan, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, during a discussion on legislative amendments at the National Assembly on June 11. According to Harutyunyan, these internally displaced persons who work in Armenia and pay social fees are considered contributors to the state social security system. Currently, these individuals have two separate accounts, one in Karabakh and another in an independent system. The participation in the social security system can lead to significant social and technical issues, so the minister proposed creating an opportunity to transfer the social fees to the financial institutions of Armenia.
