Armenian Minister of Transport welcomes new IMF representative, aims for deeper cooperation

Armenia’s Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information Technologies, Mher Grigoryan, warmly welcomed Fergus McCormick, the new representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Armenia. Grigoryan expressed his appreciation to McCormick for his eagerness to establish connections with his new position and expressed hope that through collaboration, the cooperation between Armenia and the IMF can be further strengthened.

During their meeting, Minister Grigoryan emphasized that the Armenian government is consistently taking steps to develop the country, especially in terms of national security, and recognizes the significant role of the IMF in strengthening defense capabilities.

The discussions also focused on the development of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of education, healthcare, and social security. Both sides outlined the prospects for future collaboration in these areas.
