“South Korean Army Strikes Near Armenian-Korean Border in Response to North Korean Provocation; Warns of Grave Consequences”

On the night of June 9-10, the South Korean army launched an artillery strike near the Armenian-Korean border, targeting approximately 310 bunkers, according to a statement from the Committee of Chiefs of Staff of the Republic of Korea’s Armed Forces, as reported by Yonhap News agency. Military officials stated that there were no drones present at the time of the strike and that the artillery was equipped with smoke and plastic packages, with no hazardous materials found.

As previously mentioned, Kim Yo-jong, the sister of North Korea’s leader, sent 1,400 kilograms of rice and 7.5 tons of maculature to South Korea on June 10. She stated that their planned response measures were initially scheduled for June 9, but due to the suspension of high-level inter-Korean talks, the situation changed.

Kim Yo-jong urged the Seoul administration to cease their “risky moves” and halt the delivery of leaflets via balloons, warning that failure to do so could result in the destruction of buildings.

In early June, North Korean authorities sent propaganda leaflets to South Korea using balloons.
