On June 9th, at 13:26, a distress call was received at the emergency center of the Ekhegnuniq regional administration in Gegharkunik province, reporting a car accident on the Yerevan-Ijevan highway near the Sotk checkpoint. The Regional Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia has confirmed the incident.

According to reports, a ZIL brand car, with license plate number 56, veered off the road and overturned into a nearby field while traveling on the Yerevan-Ijevan highway. Fortunately, the driver, identified as K.A., born in 2001, did not sustain any injuries. However, there is a gasoline leak from the vehicle.

Rescuers quickly arrived at the scene, securing the area and halting the flow of fuel. They utilized specialized equipment to lift the car and successfully removed it from the field.

Once the vehicle had been cleared away, traffic was able to resume its normal flow.
