The state visit commenced with a formal greeting ceremony near the iconic Arc de Triomphe, followed by a grand reception at the Elysee Palace. At the palace, official meetings and public announcements will be conducted.

Additionally, President Macron plans to present President Biden with a state gift, while First Lady Jill Biden will also receive a gift in honor of the occasion.

On Friday, both leaders attended a commemoration ceremony in Normandy to pay tribute to the victims of World War II on its 80th anniversary.

The following day, separate talks were held between President Biden, President Macron, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Ukraine.
