“Tragic Collision on Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan Highway Claims Lives of Two, Sends Shockwaves in Gegharkunik Province”
On June 8, a tragic incident occurred in the Gegharkunik province of Armenia. According to shamshyan.com, at around 10:10 PM, the National Crisis Management Center of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations received an emergency call reporting a collision between a “Mitsubishi” truck from the “Harznakar” restaurant complex and a railway bridge on the Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan highway. The impact caused damage to the railway tracks and resulted in the truck falling into the Hrazdan River. Unfortunately, a little girl and a woman in her late thirties who were near the river were swept away by the floodwaters.
