“Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff Accepts Order for ‘Open Government Partnership-Armenia’ Initiative, Emphasizes Importance of Transparency and Accountability in New Reforms”

The Prime Minister’s chief of staff, Arayik Harutyunyan, has accepted the order for the “Open Government Partnership-Armenia” initiative, as announced by the Ministry of Administration and Territories. Harutyunyan emphasized the importance of cooperation with the “Open Government Partnership” in promoting transparency, enhancing accountability, and introducing new reforms. He also highlighted the implementation of efficient mechanisms to combat corruption, effectively manage public resources, and involve the public in decision-making. Peter Vardanyan, the Eastern Partnership’s regional coordinator of the “Open Government Partnership,” commended Armenia’s efforts in implementing government reforms and emphasized the role of the partnership in fulfilling international obligations related to the “Public Administration Reforms” program.
