Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a warning on Wednesday in response to recent attacks by Lebanon’s Hezbollah. According to the Times of Israel, Netanyahu stated that Israel is “extremely powerful” and fully prepared to retaliate against those who try to threaten them. During his visit to Kiryat Shmona, a city near the Lebanese border, Netanyahu emphasized that Israel will not sit idly by in the face of such threats. Lebanese newspaper Libanorama reported his statements.

Following reports that the Israeli military had uncovered a series of major threats related to Hezbollah’s tunnels and unmanned aerial vehicle launches, Netanyahu visited the Israeli northern border for several hours. The discovery came after 48 hours of intensive construction work on infiltration tunnels as per multiple sources. During his meeting with military officials, Netanyahu expressed his gratitude for the efforts made to extinguish the fires that plagued the country, but also acknowledged that Lebanon was affected by the destructive blaze.
